I spend many years feeling guilty for what I ate and making plans to cut calories out of guilt.

This bite-size binge tip is geared to give you small chunks of information to help in your recovery. Feeling guilty because you binged just triggers cravings for more binge food!!

I explain the binge-guilt cycle and how feeling guilty creates an uncomfortable feeling in the body (a.k.a an urge) eventually the urge is too uncomfortable and it leads to more binge eating.

My clients feel like they have a new lease on life once we break the guit around eating.

Feeling Guilty after a binge?

👉YOU FEEL GUILTY ABOUT SOMETHING YOU ATE

Guilt is a low vibration emotion; it sucks you down and feels uncomfortable in the body. Negative thoughts increase the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline.

👉YOU CRAVE BINGE FOOD

High levels of cortisol influences appetite and cravings for high- calorie foods (A.K.A your binge foods) by binding to hypothalamus receptors in the brain. Guess who’s responsible for creating the urge to binge? The Hypothalamus, is the primal selfish part of the brain that wants you to overeat, it wants you to binge eat, because it’s main job is to keep you alive and it hates discipline!! My clients have lovingly started referring to this brain as the food zombie!!

👉BINGE

The food zombie brain switches on an urge to binge, this is amplified with the uncomfortable guilty feeling from your last binge, you just want to distract yourself from feeling discomfort. Before you know it, you are face planting into a bag of chips and searching for ice cream to wash it down with.

Can’t wait to see you in the next episode where I will be sharing the top 3 reasons why you binge
